Brook Packaged Drinking Water

Our place is at No-1/61 A, right on Anjaneyar Koil Street. It’s a narrow road in Paarivakkam, so getting the big water trucks in and out takes some skill from our drivers. We are very close to the Rani Bai Matriculation School, so every afternoon the street fills up with parents and kids. We have to be careful during those hours. Being in Poonamallee means the weather is almost always hot, which keeps us very busy. The sound of the water pumps and the plastic bottles clinking together is something we hear even in our sleep. We spend a lot of time checking the filters and making sure the floors are dry so nobody slips. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy crates around. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to spend the whole night fixing it, but that’s just part of the job. We aren't a huge corporation, just a local spot making sure the shops around here have enough water. The Anjaneyar temple is just down the way, so we get a lot of people stopping by during festival times. We have a small desk for the accounts, but mostly we are on our feet in the back. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the gate rattles in the wind, but it’s a good place to work. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the bottles filled and delivered to the neighborhood.
