Bhakatavatsalam Vidyashram

We've been here at No 14 in Periyar Nagar for a good while now. It’s tucked away on 31st Street in Korattur, which is mostly a quiet spot except when everyone is heading to work or school in the morning. People around here know the building pretty well. It’s not a fancy place with shiny glass walls, just a regular school where kids from the neighborhood come to learn their lessons. You’ll see the gates open early, and the staff usually gets in before the sun gets too hot. We have a lot of classrooms that have seen many years of students passing through. The hallways get noisy between periods, but that’s just how it is with so many kids around. On some days, the humidity really hits, and we just keep the fans going and get on with the work. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, but everyone finds their way eventually. We don't spend much time worrying about looking perfect; there’s always something that needs fixing or a desk that needs moving. The trees nearby give a bit of shade, which is nice during the break times. Most parents live just a few streets away, so there’s a lot of walking back and forth. It’s just a solid, everyday part of life here in Korattur. We do our jobs, the kids do their studies, and the day goes by pretty fast.
