We are down at 4/364 on Anna Salai in Palavakkam. Being close to the coast helps because we deal with seafood. Ayshwarya Sea Food Llp is where we operate from. It's a busy stretch of road, so there's always noise from the traffic. We get the catch in early, usually while it's still dark outside. It’s cold and wet work, and the smell of the ocean stays on your clothes all day. We spend hours cleaning and sorting fish, prawns, and whatever else comes in. The floor is almost always wet. We use a lot of ice to keep everything fresh. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We have a small group of guys who have been doing this for years. We know the different types of fish like the back of our hands. Sometimes the supply is great, other days the sea doesn't give much. That’s just how it goes with this business. We don't have a corporate office with air conditioning; our space is functional and built for moving crates around. We sell to local markets and some regular customers who know where to find us. It’s hard work on the back and the hands. We just focus on getting the seafood out the door before it loses its freshness. Palavakkam is a good home for us and the commute isn't too bad for most of the staff.
