Our office is in the Jvl Tower, on the first floor at 117, Nelson Manickam Road in Aminjikarai. Apparel & Leather Technics Limited is mostly about the technical side of making clothes and leather goods. We spend a lot of time looking at machinery and how things are put together. It’s a busy road outside, and sometimes the noise drifts up, but we’re usually too busy to notice. We have a team that knows a lot about the industry. We aren't into the fast fashion side of things as much as we are into the actual making of the products. We deal with a lot of different materials and sometimes it gets complicated. The office is a mix of fabric swatches, leather pieces, and technical manuals. We don’t really have a corporate culture per se. We’re just a bunch of people who have been doing this for a long time. We don't use big words to describe what we do. If a machine breaks, we fix it. If a client has a question about a stitch or a hide, we answer it. It’s simple. We like being in Aminjikarai because it’s a central spot for us. Some days are better than others, but we always show up. We’re not looking to be famous. We just want to make sure the technical side of the apparel business is handled properly. It is just steady, honest work that we know well.
