Annai Theresa Teacher Training Institute For Women

Our institute is located at number 18 in Arul Nagar, right on the 1st Street in the Madhavaram Milk Colony area. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you’re coming from the center of Chennai, but it’s a lot more peaceful once you arrive. Since this is an institute for women, we try to keep a very comfortable and safe environment for all the students who come here to learn. The building is tucked away in a residential pocket, so there isn't much traffic noise, which is a relief. We spend our days going over teaching methods and preparing for exams. The office is small and usually smells like coffee and old paper. There are always a few students hanging around the corridors talking about their future jobs or their teaching practice. We don’t have any fancy technology or modern glass offices; it’s just plain rooms with chalkboards and wooden desks. The staff here is mostly made up of people who have been in education for a long time. We have a routine that we follow, and it keeps things running smoothly. On some days, it gets a bit chaotic when there are events or visitors, but usually, it’s just the quiet hum of classes. People in Madhavaram know us as a quiet spot in the neighborhood where women come to get their degrees and move on.
