Ancy Sea Foods

We are located over at No. 5/11 Csi School Street in Sekkadu Avadi. It’s a small operation dealing with fish and other seafood. Every morning is busy because that's when the fresh stock comes in. It smells like the ocean around here, which some people don't like, but it's what we do. We supply to local markets and sometimes directly to families. The ice keeps everything cold while we sort through the day's catch. It's a lot of lifting and moving crates. My boots are always wet. We’ve been in this street for a while now. The school is right there, so it gets crowded when the kids leave. We try to get our deliveries out before that happens. We don't have a website or anything fancy. People just know where we are. If the catch is good, we stay busy. If the weather is bad at sea, things get quiet. That’s just the way the business goes. We check every fish to make sure it's okay. No one wants bad fish. It’s a lot of manual work, cleaning and packing. My hands are always cold from the ice. We just keep our heads down and do the work. Sekkadu is a decent place to be. We know most of our regular customers by their first names. Sometimes people ask for specific types of prawns or crabs, and we try to find them at the docks. It’s all about what the sea gives us each morning.
