Our place is tucked into Fakir Sahib Street in Royapuram. If you know the area, you know it’s crowded and the streets are quite tight. We deal with poultry products here. It’s a lot of early mornings because that’s when everything starts moving in the meat business. The smell of the neighborhood is something you get used to. We spend most of our time at 9/4, just keeping the stock moving and making sure things stay clean. It’s not a big corporate office, just a practical space where we work. Royapuram is an old part of the city, so the buildings have that aged look. Sometimes it's hard for the bigger trucks to get down our street, so there's a lot of shouting and maneuvering involved. We’ve got a small crew here. Everyone knows their job. We don’t spend much time on computers, mostly just handling the products and talking to the local buyers. The floor stays wet because we’re always washing things down. It’s hard work, and your hands get tired by the end of the shift. But it’s what we do. People in Royapuram know us as the local poultry guys on Fakir Sahib Street. We just stay busy and try to finish up before it gets too late in the evening. There isn't much time for breaks when the orders are high, but we make sure the work gets done right. It is a bit noisy with the fans running all the time, but we don't mind it much.
