Adithya Beverages

Adithya Beverages is located at 40 and 41 on the ground floor. We are on Gandhi Street in Nerkundram. It is very close to the Koyambedu market area. Because of that, there is always a lot of movement. We have two units side by side. It helps us keep things somewhat separate. One side is for the crates and the other is for the paperwork and sitting down. The walls are a bit stained from where the boxes rub against them. We have a ceiling fan that wobbles. It makes a rhythmic sound that we’ve all gotten used to. We start our day before the sun is even up properly. That is when the market is most alive. The air smells like diesel and fresh vegetables from the stalls nearby. We move a lot of bottles. Sometimes one breaks and we have to mop it up quickly. It’s a bit of a workout. My brother and I run the daily operations. We don't have a big team. Just a couple of cousins who help with the heavy lifting. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the morning rush. The desk is an old metal one. It’s got rust on the legs. We keep our logbooks there. Everything is written by hand. It feels more solid that way. We aren't trying to be anything big. We just want to get the orders out on time. The street gets muddy when it rains, so we have to be careful not to slip when we carry things.
