Thriveni Academy School

Thriveni Academy School is situated in Thriveni Nagar, which is part of the Oragadam area in the Chengalpattu block. It is quite a journey for some to get here, especially being near Singaperumal Koil, but we have buses that cover the local routes. The school building is quite sturdy and has a lot of windows to let the air in, which is needed in this heat. We have a playground that is mostly sand and some patches of grass that we try to keep green. The students here are quite a mix, some from the local villages and some from the newer housing areas nearby. Inside, the walls are painted a plain color, and we have the usual rows of benches. It gets quite busy during the annual sports day or when we have local festivals. We don't have any fancy mission statements plastered on the walls. It is just a place for learning. The staff room is always full of stacks of notebooks waiting to be corrected. Sometimes the water taps in the washrooms leak a little, and we have to call the plumber from the village to fix them. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. We focus on the daily schedule and making sure the children are ready for their exams when the time comes at the end of the term. The evening breeze usually helps cool down the classrooms before we lock up.
