Chisel Montessori School

Our school is located at No 9 on Thiruvalluvar Main Road, right in Jaya Nagar. It’s a nice enough spot in Tiruvallur where things are a bit quieter than the main city center. We focus on the Montessori way of doing things, which means our rooms look a bit different than your average classroom. There are lots of wooden blocks and things for the kids to touch and move around. We don't have those big rows of desks. Instead, you’ll see kids sitting on the floor or at small tables. The staff here really cares about the little details, like making sure the shelves are at the right height for small hands. We have a small yard where the kids can get some fresh air when the weather isn't too hot. Sometimes the rain catches us off guard and we have to move everything inside quickly. It's a bit of a scramble, but we manage. We aren't a big corporate chain. We're just a local school trying to provide a decent place for children to learn at their own pace. You won't find us using a lot of fancy words or big promises. We just open the doors every morning and do our best with what we have. Most of our parents live right here in Jaya Nagar, so we see them around a lot. It’s a friendly atmosphere and we like keeping it that way without too much fuss. Every day brings something new, even if it's just a new drawing on the wall.
