Holy Sai International School

If you head over to No 63 in Jayalakshmi Nagar, you will find us there. Holy Sai International School is tucked away in Urapakkam, which is a part of the Chengalpattu area that has been growing quite a lot lately. It’s a busy spot in the mornings when the buses are moving around and parents are dropping off their kids. We have been here for a bit now, and the building is just a regular school building with classrooms and a place for the children to run around during their breaks. The staff here are mostly local people who live nearby, so everyone knows everyone else. It’s not one of those schools that feels like a big company; it’s more like a community spot where kids spend their day. We don’t spend a lot of time on fancy decorations, we just make sure there are enough chairs and that the blackboards are clean for the next lesson. Some of the rooms get a lot of sun in the afternoon, so we have to keep the fans running all the time. You’ll see the kids playing out front or lining up for assembly when the bell rings. It can get pretty loud, but that’s just part of being a school in a place like Urapakkam. We try to keep things organized, though with so many kids, there is always something going on that keeps us busy.
