Hiranandani Upscale School

We are located at 5/63, Old Mahabalipuram Road in the Kelambakkam area. Most people just call it OMR. We are right inside the Hiranandani complex, so there are big apartment towers all around us. It is a very modern part of the city. The school itself is a large building with plenty of windows. We get a good breeze from the sea sometimes because we aren't that far from the coast. The mornings are usually the busiest time when all the cars and buses arrive at once. Since a lot of our students live in the apartments right next to us, they just walk to school, which saves a lot of trouble with traffic. We have a lot of hallways and the floors stay pretty shiny thanks to the cleaning crew. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall or anything. We just try to get the lessons done and make sure the kids have a safe place to be while their parents are at work. The tech parks are nearby, so many of the families work in IT. We have a playground that gets a lot of use in the afternoons. It is a fairly straightforward place to work. We deal with the usual stuff like broken chairs or missing textbooks. By the end of the day, the lobby is empty and we lock up the gates until the next morning. It is a busy life but we manage it okay.
