Swayam Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over in the MIDC area of Chandrapur. We are specifically at C/O Om Fly Ash Product, unit E/6. It might seem a bit strange for a farmer company to be in an industrial zone, but it actually works out well for our logistics and moving things around. Chandrapur is known for its heat and its industries, and we are right in the thick of it. We started this because we wanted to be independent, which is why we chose the name Swayam. It’s a group effort where several of us farmers from the district came together to handle our own sales and supplies. The office is functional and a bit industrial, given where we are located. We don't have soft carpets or fancy lights. It is just a place where we can get the work done, meet with members, and organize our transport. We deal with all sorts of local crops and try to find the best way to get them from the fields to the buyers without losing too much money along the way. It is a tough business and some days are harder than others, especially with the heavy traffic in the MIDC. But we are all dedicated to making it work. We are just regular people who know a lot about farming and wanted to try doing the business side for ourselves.
