You can find us right across from the Indra petrol pump on the Indore Road in Chapda. We use Prma Bai and Jagannath Yadav’s place as our base of operations. It’s a good spot because everyone knows the petrol pump, so it’s easy to give directions. Bhuswarupa Farmers is just a group of us from the area who wanted to organize a bit better. Farming around Chapda is what most of us have done our whole lives. We handle a lot of different crops depending on what time of year it is. The office is usually busy with people coming in to check on their payments or to talk about the next sowing season. It’s a bit dusty and loud with the trucks going by on Indore Road, but we don't mind. We aren't trying to look professional or corporate. We just want to be honest and get the work done. We spend a lot of time discussing the weather and how the soil is holding up. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat or to ask for advice on a problem with their crop. It’s a community effort more than a business sometimes. We just try to keep the records straight and make sure everyone gets their fair share when the produce is sold. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know.
