Bawanthadi Agri Producer Company Limited got its start because a bunch of us in Bonkatta needed a way to handle our agricultural business better. We operate out of Mulchand Chitewani’s place, number 1295Rggvy. It is a local spot, nothing special to look at from the outside, but it gets the job done for what we need. Being out here in this part of the country, you learn pretty fast that you have to work with what you have. We named it after the Bawanthadi area because that’s where our roots are. Mostly, we spend our time talking to the guys who grow the crops around here and trying to get things organized so it isn't such a scramble every season. There is always something breaking down or some delay with the transport, so we spend a lot of time on the phone or just waiting for someone to show up. It isn't a fancy operation. We have some ledgers and a lot of patience. If you come by, you’ll probably see Mulchand or one of the other guys sitting there trying to make sense of the new rules or checking on the seed stocks. It is hard work and the days are long, but since we are all neighbors in Bonkatta, it feels okay. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the wheels turning for the families who rely on the local harvest every single year.
