Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at Laxmibai Laxman Thul’s place in Ralegaon, which is near Chargaon in the Warora area. We are just a group of local farmers who finally decided to get together to make things a little easier for everyone in our community. We named the company after Mahatma Jyotirao Phule because he really understood the struggles that people like us face every single day. Our office is just a simple room in a house where we keep our logs and sit down to talk about the crops. We don't have fancy furniture, air conditioning, or computers everywhere. Most of the time, we are out in the hot sun working the land like we always have. We grow whatever the season allows and try to help each other out when someone's crop isn't doing so well. It’s a small, community-led effort. We aren't trying to be some big, famous business; we just want to take care of our families and keep the farm running for another year. You’ll usually find us talking about the price of seeds or when the next harvest will be ready. It is honest work and it takes up pretty much all our time and energy.
