Navinya Sanjivan Farmers Producer Company Limited is tucked away in Laxmi Nagar over in Sulezari. Our main spot is at Arun J Narule’s place. It’s a quiet part of the Nagbhir area in Chandrapur district. Around here, everyone is pretty much connected to the land in one way or another. We started this company because a few of us wanted to handle our own produce better. It isn't a massive operation with hundreds of employees. It is just a few local folks who know how to plant and when to pick. We spend our mornings checking on the progress of the fields and our afternoons dealing with the logistics of moving things. The office is really just a part of the house where we keep our records and meet up. There is usually a dog sleeping near the door and a few motorbikes parked outside. We don't worry much about how things look as long as the work gets finished. Life in Chandrapur has its own pace, and we follow that. We deal with the heat and the dry spells as they come. It’s honest work and we do not try to make it sound like more than it is. We are just here in Sulezari, taking care of the business and the crops the best we can. There is no corporate ladder here, just people helping each other out.
