Mahrshi Avchitpuri Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at the Growth Center in Itisgaon. Our specific spot is at Pno 88-98, though we mostly just use Pno-88 for our daily meetings. It sounds like a large area on paper, but we really just have a modest setup for our daily work. We are just a bunch of guys from the local area who wanted to pool our resources together. Working out of the Itisgaon center is convenient for transport, but it is still a lot of hard manual labor every single day. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy website to show off. We just tell people where we are and show them what we are doing. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the middle of the day and we have to do everything by hand, which can be very frustrating. The company was formed so we could get better prices for our grain and share some of the expensive equipment. It is a simple idea that takes a lot of work to keep going. We spend a lot of time checking on the different fields and making sure everything is growing like it should. It is not a glamorous life, and our office is usually full of dust from the nearby road. We aren't trying to impress anyone. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the harvest is good. If you walk by our plot, you might see us sitting on some old crates just catching our breath after a long afternoon.
