If you come to Kalamnuri in the Hingoli district, you’ll find us at House No 664, which we call Jijau Niwas. It’s right near the Hanuman Mandir. Our group is called Jatashankar Krushikranti Producer Company Limited. The name sounds big, but we are just a collection of local farmers who decided to try something new. We wanted a "Krushikranti" or a farm revolution of our own, even if it’s just on a small scale. Most of us have been working the land around here for decades. We deal with the same pests, the same dry spells, and the same low prices every year. By forming this company, we started to talk more and share what we know. It’s not a fancy business; it’s more of a survival strategy. We meet near the temple or at the house to discuss who is planting what and where we can sell it. Sometimes the paperwork feels like more work than the actual farming, but we push through it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Maharashtra. We just want to make sure that the people in Kalamnuri get a fair shake. It’s about making sure the kids see a future in farming instead of just moving away to the city. We are just regular folks, doing the best we can with the soil we have and the tools we can afford to buy together.
