Chimurkranti Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is located right at number 222, near the Chimur Sahakari Tandul Girani. Being so close to the rice mill makes things a lot easier for us here in Chimur, Chandrapur. We are a group of women who decided to take the lead on the farming business in our area. The heat in Chandrapur can be really intense, so we usually start our work very early in the morning before the sun gets too high. Our office isn't really an office; it’s more of a meeting place where we can organize our bags and check the weights. We focus a lot on rice because that’s what our land does best, and being right by the mill helps us keep an eye on things. It’s a lot of physical work, moving heavy sacks and making sure the quality is right. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals, we just want to make sure the women in Wadala and Chimur get a good return for their hard work. There’s always someone coming in with a concern about the water or the price of transport. We sit on benches, drink tea, and figure out the logistics ourselves. It’s a bit chaotic during the peak season, but we have a system that works for us. We just keep our heads down and do the daily work together.
