Card Women Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Card Women Producer Company Limited. We are located care of Lalita Tejarao Porate at the ZP Highschool in Nawegaon More. This is in the Pombhurna area of Chandrapur. It might seem like an unusual spot for a company, being near the school, but it’s where we can all get together. This company is run by women from the local area who are involved in producing and farming. We didn't want to just sit around, so we organized ourselves to have more of a say in how our products are handled. It is a lot of coordination and talking to one another. We meet up and discuss what we are growing and how to get it to the people who need it. Chandrapur can be a very hot place, so we have to be smart about our timing. We don't have a big staff, just us locals putting in the hours. The work is mostly manual and we don't have fancy machines for everything. We are learning as we go about the business side of things, like keeping books and dealing with the government rules. It isn't always smooth, and we make mistakes sometimes, but we keep moving forward. We just want to help our families and make sure our work counts for something. It is a simple goal but it keeps us very busy every single day in Nawegaon More.
