V. S. Fashions

If you know Karol Bagh, you know how Padam Singh Road can get. V. S. Fashions is tucked away in the W.E.A. area, specifically at 16/20. It’s a lively spot to spend your working hours. We spend a lot of time just managing what’s on the shelves and making sure the floor stays somewhat tidy. Dealing with the heat in the summer and the crowds during festival seasons is just part of life here. We’ve got a small team, and we’ve been working together long enough that we don't need to say much to get things moving. The building itself has seen better days, but it serves us well. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and letting some air in before the rush begins. We don't do much fancy advertising; people just seem to find us. Sometimes the electricity acts up, or the tea guy is late, but we manage. It’s a grounded way to work. We see the same faces walking by every day, and that’s the nice thing about being in a place like this. It’s not about being the biggest, just about doing the work we have in front of us. We keep our heads down and stay busy with the racks and the ledgers. The noise from the main road is constant, but you stop noticing it after the first hour or two.
