Vinay Marwah

The office for Vinay Marwah is on the third floor of a building at 66A/3 on New Rohtak Road. It’s Flat No.9. If you know New Delhi-110005, you know the traffic on Rohtak Road can be something else entirely. We spend a lot of time looking out the windows at the cars stuck below. Being on the third floor gives us a bit of a break from the dust and the noise, but you can still hear the horns. The climb up is good exercise since the elevator isn't always the most reliable thing in the world. Inside, the place is cozy. We have desks squeezed in and books stacked where they can fit. It’s a very functional space. We don't go in for fancy carpets or designer lights. Most of the stuff here has been around for years and it still works fine. We start our day early to try and beat the worst of the heat and the crowds. Working here feels very connected to the heart of the city. You see all sorts of people on this road. We just handle our tasks day by day. There isn't a lot of talk about growth or strategies; we just focus on what the current job requires. Sometimes the tea man comes by, and we take a quick break. It is a very ordinary, working-class atmosphere. We are just people doing our jobs in a busy part of Delhi.
