Tartans

Tartans is located right in the middle of the chaos of Pahar Ganj. Our place is known as Tartans House, house number 2033 on Chitra Gupta Road. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and full of energy. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age, but it’s sturdy enough for us. There are people coming and going at all hours. It isn't a quiet office. You can hear the sounds of the street, the vendors shouting, and the horns honking from morning until night. We keep the doors open, and it gets pretty dusty, but that’s just part of being in Pahar Ganj. Tartans House has a lot of history for us. We started small and just stayed in this same spot. The rooms are filled with various items we handle and stacks of papers. It's not organized like a modern showroom, but we know where everything is. We don't use big marketing terms or have a fancy reception desk. It’s just us working at 2033 Chitra Gupta Road. People find us by word of mouth mostly. If you come by, you’ll probably see us drinking tea and going through the ledgers. It's a simple life here, busy but steady. We like being part of the Pahar Ganj buzz. The stairs in Tartans House are narrow and a bit steep, so carrying heavy loads up and down is quite a workout for everyone.
