Mital International

Mital International is right on Netaji Subhash Marg in the Darya Ganj area. Being at number 7 means we are right in the thick of things. Darya Ganj is a place with a lot of history and even more people. Every day is a bit of a struggle with the crowds and the narrow streets, but there is an energy here you don’t get anywhere else. Our office is old and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s home to us. We have piles of ledgers and samples everywhere. It’s not the kind of place where everything is digital and clean; it’s more about physical things and real conversations. We deal with international trade, which means some of us are in early to catch one time zone and others stay late for another. The sounds of the street—the horns, the shouting, the vendors—come right through the windows. We usually send someone out for tea and snacks around 4 PM, which is the highlight of the afternoon. It’s a small team, and we’ve all learned to work in the middle of the chaos. We don’t have a fancy board room, just a big wooden table where we sit and talk through the orders. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it’s how we’ve always done it here in the heart of Delhi. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
