Sandeep Store

Sandeep Store is right here in Motia Khan, Paharganj, at A 216. We’ve been running this place for a long time. It’s a general store, so we keep a bit of everything that people need for their homes. You’ll find sacks of rice, pulses, and rows of soaps and shampoos. The space is a bit cramped because we try to fit in as much stock as possible. We know most of the families around here by name. They send their kids over for a packet of biscuits or some sugar. It’s a noisy area with all the rickshaws passing by, but that’s just life in Motia Khan. We start early in the morning to receive the milk delivery and stay open until the evening rush is over. Sometimes the ledger gets a bit messy, but we keep track of everything. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just wooden shelves and a heavy counter where we weigh things out. If something isn't on the shelf, we usually have it in the back room. We spend a lot of time stocking up the racks and checking the dates on the packets. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We don't try to be anything other than a local shop where you can get your daily supplies without any fuss. It is a simple life and we enjoy the daily routine.
