Standard Steel Industries

You can find Standard Steel Industries at Plot No 905 in Burari, just off Sultanpur Road. It’s a dusty stretch of road but there’s always something moving. The plot is quite large and we have plenty of steel sitting out there in the yard. Working with metal is loud and dirty work, so our clothes never stay clean for long. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high over Burari. By midday, the Sultanpur Road is jammed with traffic and the noise of horns doesn't stop until late evening. We’ve got a small office at the front of the plot where we keep the records, but mostly we are out back. The machinery hums all day long. Sometimes we have to fix things ourselves when a motor acts up. It's not a polished operation, just a place where things get made and moved. Rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, but we manage. The neighbors are also into industrial work, so nobody complains about the noise. We just focus on getting the orders ready and loaded. It’s practical work. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just the plot, the steel, and the tools we use every day. If the gate is open, someone is usually there working. It is a simple setup but it has been our base for quite some time now.
