Namrata Signage Metal Works

The workshop for Namrata Signage Metal Works is in Burari. It is right near the gas godown, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. You can usually hear the metal banging from the street before you even see the door. It is a bit dusty inside and we spend our days cutting metal sheets and welding things together. There are sparks everywhere and we wear old clothes because of all the grease and dirt. It is hard work and our hands are rarely clean. The shop is at No. 35/28 in Virendra Nagar. We have been in this spot for a long time now. People come by when they need signs made and we just show them the different metals we have in stock. It gets noisy and very hot in the summer. We do not have any air conditioning, just a couple of big fans that move the warm air around. We talk to the neighbors and the tea stall guy nearby already knows our order by heart. We do not have a receptionist or anyone sitting at a front desk. If someone walks in, one of us just wipes our hands and starts talking to them. We make sure the letters are straight and the frames are solid. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait, but that is just how it is here. Burari is a busy area and we fit right in with the other workshops.
