Raisa & Son

Being in Main Bazar means there is never a quiet moment from morning until night. Raisa & Son has its spot at 5109 and 5110, right in the thick of everything in Paharganj. If you have ever walked through here, you know it is crowded and loud, but that is just how we like it. We have been handling things here for many years now. The shop is full of stuff, and sometimes it feels like we are running out of room to move, but we manage somehow. My son helps out a lot with the inventory, especially when the morning rush starts and people are shouting for attention. We open up early and stay late most days because that is when the business happens. It is a family thing, really. We do not have fancy signs or a big reception area with chairs, just the main counter and the old shelves. People from all over the world walk past our door every single day. Some stop to ask for directions to the station, others are looking for something specific we carry in the back. We just keep our heads down and do the daily work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, and the floor is quite worn from all the feet walking in and out, but it works for us. It is an honest way to spend the day.
