Qasim Steel Fabricator

Qasim Steel Fabricator is tucked away in the Shastri Park Extension area, specifically on Phool Bagh Road in Burari. We are quite near the Nathu Pura Chowk, which is a landmark most locals know. Our shop is a place where we deal with a lot of steel. You’ll see stacks of pipes and flat bars leaning against the walls. The ground is usually covered in metal shavings and dust from the saws. We spend most of our time measuring out lengths of steel and cutting them down to size. The sound of the grinder is something we are used to, though it can be a bit much for people just walking by. We have a heavy workbench where we do all the assembly and welding. It’s been scorched and scratched over the years. We aren't big on decorations here; the walls are just bare brick in some places. Our clothes usually have little holes in them from the sparks that fly while we work. We get orders from people in the Nathu Pura neighborhood who need gates or window grills or just some repairs done on their metal stuff. It’s a tough job that leaves you tired by the end of the day. We wash our hands in a bucket before we head home because the grime really sticks to you. It is just honest labor in a dusty part of town, making things out of metal that are meant to last for a long time.
