Puneet Metals Pvt. Ltd. is based at 1057/ 6 in Shanker Gali No.2. We are located in the Motia Khan area, which is pretty well known for metal trading. It’s a crowded part of the city, and the streets can be a bit narrow, but it’s where all the action is for our industry. We’ve got a small team here working in the office. Most of our day is spent negotiating prices or tracking where a certain load of metal has gotten to. It’s not a quiet job; there’s always someone shouting across the office or a truck driver calling to say he’s stuck in traffic. The office itself is pretty basic. We’ve got our chairs, our computers, and a lot of old catalogs that we probably should have thrown out years ago. We don't use any fancy management software; we mostly rely on our notebooks and our memories. Being in Motia Khan means we see our competitors and our friends every day on the street. It’s a tight-knit community of traders. We don't put out brochures or have a big sign out front. People just know where Shanker Gali No.2 is and they come find us when they need to buy or sell metal. It’s a tough business sometimes, with prices changing all the time, but we’ve stayed in it this long because we know how it works and we like the pace.
