Nand Lal Metal Udyog is located at R 23/2 H on Street No 11 in Anand Parbat. If you’ve ever been to Anand Parbat, you know it’s a maze of small streets and workshops. We’ve been in this particular spot for a long time, and the building shows its age. The walls are stained with years of metal dust and oil, but that’s just part of the job. We deal with metal, and it’s heavy, loud, and dirty work. There isn't anything fancy about what we do here. We have a few old machines that have been running since before some of our workers were born. They still work fine, so we don't see any reason to change them. Sometimes the street gets so blocked with deliveries that we can't even get out for lunch, so we just order something in. We don't have a website or anyone to handle marketing. We just talk to the people who come by the shop. Our name is on the door, and that’s about as much branding as we do. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even if not everyone is related. We know our regulars by their first names and we know exactly what they need before they even ask. It’s not a glamorous life, working with metal in a crowded street, but it’s our life and we’re okay with it.
