Mahalaxmi Industries

Mahalaxmi Industries is located at 7240 Aram Nagar. If you walk down the street, you can usually hear us before you see us. There is a lot of metalwork and industrial activity going on inside. It is a noisy place with the sounds of grinders and welding machines going almost all day long. The floor is usually covered in a fine layer of dust or metal shavings, even though we try to sweep it up every evening. We have a small crew and everyone knows what their job is. It gets very hot inside during the summer months, so we have several large pedestal fans blowing air around to keep us from melting. 7240 Aram Nagar is an old address and the building has a lot of character, which is just a polite way of saying the roof leaks a tiny bit when there is a heavy downpour. We keep our raw materials stacked against the back wall and the finished products near the front for easy shipping. There is a small chai stall just a few doors down where we go to get our tea twice a day. The street outside is always crowded with people and carts, so getting a truck in or out is always a bit of a challenge that requires a lot of shouting and gesturing to get through. We like it here because it is a real working neighborhood where everyone is busy making things and nobody has time to worry about fancy decorations.
