Our shop is right in the middle of the Pahar Ganj furniture market, specifically at 9516/13 on the main road in Multani Dhanda. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it's loud and crowded. We deal mostly in steel items because that’s what lasts. Wood is nice but steel doesn't warp or get eaten by bugs, so it's practical for most folks around here. We spend a lot of time moving heavy cabinets and desks around. My back feels it some days, honestly. The air is always full of the smell of metal and paint. We keep the doors open so people can see what we have right from the street. It’s a bit messy inside with all the stacks of chairs and cupboards, but we know where everything is. M K Steel Furniture isn't some high-end showroom with bright lights and carpets. It’s a working shop. We talk to people who need something sturdy for their office or home and we show them what’s available. Sometimes we have to move three things just to get to the one someone wants to buy. It’s just how things go in a tight space like this. We’ve been in Multani Dhanda long enough to know the rhythms of the market. When the sun goes down, we lock up and head home, then do it all again the next morning. We're just a bunch of regular guys working with metal and helping customers.
