Kumar Metal Works

Being out in the Rohtak Road Industrial Area at 17/15 is where Kumar Metal Works does its business. This part of town is all about manufacturing and heavy trucks moving in and out. Our building is a sturdy one because it has to be to hold the equipment we use. There is always a layer of dust on the windows from the factories nearby. We deal with various types of metal fabrication, and the floor is usually covered in shavings by mid-morning. It’s loud here, and you have to raise your voice just to be heard over the grinders. We don't have any air conditioning, just the big doors rolled up to let some air flow through the workshop. Most of us have been working together for years, so we know the routine without having to talk about it much. The tea man comes around twice a day, and that is usually the only time the machines go quiet for a bit. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because they saw our sign while driving down Rohtak Road or someone told them about the work we do. It’s a gritty environment, but it suits the kind of labor we do. We just focus on finishing the orders on time and keeping the machines in good shape.
