Manju Creation

We are up on the second floor of House No. 61 in the Western Extension Area of Karol Bagh. It is a bit tucked away in Block No. 6, but it stays quite busy throughout the week. Manju Creation is really just a handful of us working with different fabrics and sewing patterns all day long. The light in this building is not always the best, especially when the sun starts to go down behind the other shops, but we managed to set up some extra lamps. There are stacks of colorful cloth everywhere you look, from basic cottons to much heavier materials for different projects. We do most of our cutting and stitching right by the big windows. Karol Bagh is always incredibly loud outside with the street markets and people shouting, so we usually keep a small radio playing in the background to help us focus. This is not a big showroom with mirrors and lights. It is more of a dusty workspace where we actually make things. Sometimes we run out of a specific color of thread and one of us has to run down the stairs to find it in the market. We drink plenty of tea to keep ourselves going through the long afternoons. The stairs are quite steep to get up here, but our regulars know the way. We just focus on making things that fit right and look okay for the people who buy from us.
