Jai Mahadev Creation

You can find us at Shop No. 2, over in the Shidipura part of Karol Bagh. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know the area well. Jai Mahadev Creation is where we spend most of our daylight hours. The space is a bit tight because we have stuff stacked up near the walls. Karol Bagh is always loud with traffic and people shouting, and that noise comes right through the front. We usually have the radio playing low in the background to drown some of it out. My hands are usually busy with something or other throughout the day. The shop number is 8745/14 B, which sounds more complicated than it actually is once you see the building. We’ve got a small counter where we talk to people. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a few minutes and we just sit and wait for it to come back on. It gives us a chance to stretch and talk to the neighbors. The floor is concrete and gets pretty cold in the winter months. We don’t really do much decor, we just focus on the work sitting in front of us. It’s a simple setup for simple work. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, just trying to get through the orders. We keep a ledger for everything because computers can be a headache.
