Our place, Kansil Bright Steels, is tucked away in the Anand Parbat Industrial Area. Specifically, we’re at 31/6, right on the Main New Rohtak Road near Street Number 1. If you’ve ever been to Anand Parbat, you know how tight the lanes can get and how much activity there is. It’s a real squeeze when the big trucks try to come through to drop off material. We spend most of our time in the unit, surrounded by stacks of bright steel bars and the smell of industrial oil. It’s a noisy place with the sounds of cutting and moving metal echoing off the walls. The office is just a small partitioned space at the front where we keep the computer and the bills. We don't have any fancy decorations, just some old calendars on the wall. The guys are usually busy operating the machines or loading up the tempos that wait outside. We get our tea from the stall at the corner of the street, and that’s usually where we catch up on the local news. The air is always a bit heavy with dust, but that’s expected in a place like this. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; we just focus on the orders we have and try to get them finished on time. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of the inventory so we don’t run out of anything important. It keeps us on our toes.
