G S Steel & Agro Industries

Down in Motia Khan, you’ll find us at G S Steel & Agro Industries. It is a busy area, lots of trucks moving in and out, and we are right in the middle of it. We deal with a lot of steel and parts for farm equipment. Most of our day is spent moving heavy stuff around or checking the inventory we have stacked up. The yard gets messy, especially when it rains, but we manage to keep things moving. We aren't a big corporate office with suits; it’s mostly just us in our work clothes, covered in a bit of rust or oil. My hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning. People from the surrounding areas come by when they need something specific for their tractors or just a length of steel for a project. We have saws and cutters that make a lot of noise, so it’s hard to hear the phone sometimes. Motia Khan has that specific smell of old metal and diesel, and that’s what we breathe every day. We just try to get the orders filled and loaded onto the trucks without too much fuss. There’s no big secret to what we do. We just stay busy and make sure the steel is where it’s supposed to be. It’s a lot of physical work, but we are used to it by now. It’s just the way it goes here in the yard.
