Fa Yian Restaurant

Fa Yian is tucked away in the Middle Circle of Connaught Place. If you know CP, you know how easy it is to get lost in all the blocks, but we are in A-Block at 25/5. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit. It’s a small place, not like those big new restaurants you see opening up nearby. We focus on Chinese food because that is what we have always done. The kitchen is small and you can often hear the chefs working from the dining area. We have red lanterns and some old pictures on the walls. It feels like stepping back into the past a little bit. A lot of our customers have been coming to see us for decades. They used to come with their parents and now they bring their own kids. That makes us feel good. We don't have a big fancy entrance, just a door in the Middle Circle. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when we have a full house, but we try our best to get the food out hot. We do our own prep work every morning, cutting vegetables and making sauces from scratch. We don't use any of those pre-made mixes. It’s hard work, but it’s the only way we know how to do it. If you’re looking for a quiet spot in the middle of the CP chaos, we are here.
