Chowringhee Restaurant

If you know Karol Bagh in Delhi, you know how packed it gets. We are located at 14A/34, which is quite close to the Karol Bagh Metro Station. You just walk a bit towards the Wea Channa Market and you’ll find us. Being near the metro means we see thousands of people passing by every single day. Some are just rushing to work and others are out for some shopping. It’s a lively spot to be in. The restaurant isn't very large, so it can get a bit cramped during the lunch hour. I spend most of my time behind the counter or checking on the kitchen. It’s always a bit of a scramble to keep up when the crowd hits all at once. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. People just come in because they smell the food or they’ve been here before. Channa Market is always buzzing with activity, so there’s never a dull moment. Sometimes the electricity goes off and we have to wait for the backup, but that’s just Delhi life for you. We serve the kind of food that fills you up. Nothing too small or delicate. It’s just us and the staff trying to get through the rush. When the metro shuts down for the night, the area finally starts to get quiet. We clean up and get ready for the next morning. It’s a long day, but we are used to the rhythm.
