Our shop is 6236 in Dev Nagar, Karol Bagh. Specifically, we’re on the upper ground floor in Gali Number 1. If you know Karol Bagh, you know how crowded and busy it gets every single day. Dada Bhagwan Fashions Private Limited is tucked away in one of those narrow lanes where the sunlight barely reaches the ground even at noon. The shop is small and always full of fabric rolls and plastic bags. We have to be very careful how we move around so we don’t knock over the displays or the stock. It’s a constant struggle to keep things organized when new shipments arrive twice a week. The old fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that we’ve all learned to just ignore while we work. We eat our lunch on small plastic stools tucked between the clothing racks. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life and we enjoy the pace. We’ve been in Block 6 for a while now and the neighbors are all like family to us. We argue about where to park the scooters every morning because space is so tight. When a customer comes in, we often have to shuffle boxes just to find a place for them to stand and look at the samples. It’s chaotic but it works for us in the end. We just want to sell decent clothes and keep the business running. There’s no big secret to it. Just showing up and opening the shop every morning.
