Cosmic Impex

Our office for Cosmic Impex is at 4 Hailey Road, right near Kasturba Gandhi Marg. It’s an old building with high ceilings, and it can get a bit drafty in the winter months. We handle various import and export tasks here. It’s a very central spot, but the traffic around here is usually quite bad and finding a spot for a car is nearly impossible. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away on our computers. There are samples of different products scattered all over the place—on the desks, the floor, and even the windowsills. It looks a bit messy, but we generally know where everything is kept. We don’t have a reception area or anyone specifically hired to answer the phones, so we just pick it up ourselves when it rings. It’s a straightforward way of working. Most of our business comes from people we’ve known for a long time. We don't have a fancy logo or any glossy brochures to hand out. We just do the work and try to keep our clients satisfied. Lunch is usually something we bring from home and eat quickly at our desks. Sometimes we stay late because we need to talk to someone in a different country where the sun is just coming up. It’s a quiet life, mostly focused on the logistics of moving goods. We like the location because it’s close to the main business districts, even if the elevator is temperamental.
