B R Creative Arts is located at 5154 Kolapur Road in Kamla Nagar. This area is always full of energy because of the university nearby. Our shop is a bit of a mess, honestly. We have stacks of drawing paper, jars of paint, and bundles of brushes everywhere you look. It smells like turpentine and old stationery inside. The shelves are made of wood and go all the way up to the high ceiling. We have an old iron ladder that we use to get things from the top, and it makes a loud scraping sound on the floor. Students come in looking for specific types of charcoal or certain shades of oil paint. We try to help them find what they need, but sometimes it takes a while to dig through the boxes. The street outside, Kolapur Road, is always jammed with scooters and delivery vans. We have a small window at the back that looks out onto a tiny courtyard. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we haven't had the time to move all the stock to do it. We use a heavy metal stapler to fix the packages and it’s probably thirty years old. It’s just a regular place where we sell art supplies to whoever needs them. We spend a lot of time dusting the jars because the road outside is so busy. That's just how it is here in Kamla Nagar.
