Alloy Steel India is based out in Kapashera, right on the Bijwasan Road near where the old Liberty Cinema Hall is. It’s a heavy-duty kind of neighborhood, lots of trucks and industrial yards all over the place. Our building is pretty basic. It’s mostly just a large space for storing steel and a small corner with a couple of desks where we do the paperwork. It gets quite dusty because of all the metal and the traffic on Bijwasan Road, so we’ve given up on keeping everything pristine. The work is mostly about moving things around, checking weights, and making sure the right pieces go to the right people. It’s a noisy environment with the sound of metal clanging and engines revving outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in our work clothes, maybe drinking tea from the stall just down the road. It’s honest, hard work and it can be pretty exhausting when the weather is hot. We don’t have a big marketing department or any of that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here a long time and people know where to find us. It’s a straightforward business, dealing with steel every day. We just try to get the orders filled and keep things moving as best as we can without too much fuss or extra worry.
