A. P. Jewellry House

If you walk down Ajmal Khan Road in Karol Bagh, you’ll find us at 13/83 in the Rani Jhansi Market. We’ve been running A. P. Jewellry House from this small shop for years. It’s a tight space, especially on weekends when the market gets crowded with shoppers. We mostly deal with gold and silver pieces, things people buy for weddings or just for daily wear. We don't have those big flashy showrooms you see on the main road. It’s just us behind the counter, showing whatever we have in the lockers. Some days are slow, and we just sit and talk with the neighbors. Other days, like during the festival season, it’s hard to even find time for lunch. We do some repairs too, fixing broken chains or resizing rings when people bring them in. It's a family thing, really. My uncle used to sit here before I took over. The lighting inside could be better, and the stools aren't the most comfortable, but customers don't seem to mind much. They know we’ve been here a long time. We keep our books in the drawer and try to keep track of everything manually when we can. It’s a traditional way of doing things, but it works for us. Karol Bagh is a noisy place, but once you step inside the market, it feels a bit more familiar. We usually close up late in the evening once the crowds start to thin out.
