We've been at Plot No.160 on Saverkundla Road for a while now. Mahuva is a busy place, especially with all the farming around Nana Jadra. Our work here at Natural Dehydration Pvt. Ltd. is pretty straightforward. We take the local produce and dry it out so it lasts. It’s a lot of work every day. The machines run quite a bit, and the smell of onions is usually everywhere because that's what we mostly do here. My family started this because there was so much extra crop that was just going to waste in the fields. It seemed like a shame to let it rot when people could use it later in the year. We aren't a huge fancy office or anything. It’s a dusty road and a big shed where we get things done. Sometimes the power goes out or a truck gets stuck on the way in, but that’s just how it is working in this part of Gujarat. We spend most of our mornings talking to the farmers and checking the stuff they bring in. If the produce isn't right, we can't really do much with it. It’s a simple life, mostly focusing on the drying process and making sure the bags are packed right before they head out. We’ve stayed in this spot because it’s close to the source. It saves time and keep things moving. We’re just regular folks trying to make a living and keep the business running year after year.
