Kirti Foods Pvt.Ltd. is based out in Nesvad Village. We are located on the Savarkundla Road, specifically at S.N.153, in Mahuva. Being out in the village means we have a bit more space than the shops in the city. The air is a bit different here and it’s surrounded by a lot of open land and fields. We handle food products, so we have to keep the place quite clean. It’s a large building with high ceilings and a lot of storage space for the raw materials that come in. Most of our workers are from the nearby areas and they walk or bike to the facility. The rhythm of the day depends on the season and what crops are coming in. Sometimes it’s very busy with trucks lined up, and other times it’s a bit slower and we catch up on maintenance. We have a small office section at the front where the accounts are handled. It’s mostly just desks and old filing cabinets. The sound of the machinery is pretty constant during the shift. We have a big gate at the entrance that we close up at night. It’s a simple operation, really. We focus on getting the food processed and packed so it can be sent out. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where everyone goes during the break. It’s a quiet life out here in Mahuva compared to the big cities, and we prefer it that way.
