Smruti Bricks

You can find Smruti Bricks right on Cuttack Road in the Lakim Sagar area. We are situated very close to Abishek Mandav, so if you see that, you know you’re in the right place. The road out front is almost always packed with cars and bikes, which makes getting the big delivery trucks in and out a bit of a challenge sometimes. I spend a lot of my day waving people through or trying to coordinate the loading so we don’t block the whole street. It’s a bit hectic, but I like the energy of being on such a busy main road. Inside the yard, it’s a different story. It’s all about the piles of bricks and the quiet work of sorting them. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for years because they know exactly what they’re getting. I don't see the point in making things more complicated than they need to be. We just provide the materials and let people get on with their building. The dust from the Cuttack Road traffic is constant, and I think I’ve forgotten what my shoes look like under all that grime. But at the end of the day, when I look at the empty spaces where the stacks used to be, I feel like we’ve done a good day’s work. We just keep the site running and try to stay organized.
