Maa Thakurani Bricks

Our business, Maa Thakurani Bricks, is situated in Village Billpada. We are under the Baruda post office and very close to the Bhanjanagar police station. It is a safe and easy-to-find spot. We have been making bricks here for quite a few years. It is a family-run type of thing. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. The police station is a good landmark for people coming from outside the village who don't know the local roads. We handle everything ourselves, from the raw material to the final stacking. It is hard on the back, but it is what we know. Bhanjanagar is a busy enough area, so there is always someone building a wall or a small house. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to provide for our families and keep the machines running. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait around, which is frustrating, but that is just how it goes here. We enjoy talking to the locals who stop by. Most of our sales happen right at the gate. We don't use any fancy marketing. The bricks speak for themselves when people see them. It is just an honest day's work for us in Billpada. We have been through many seasons here. The monsoon is always the trickiest time for the brick business, but we have learned how to prepare. We keep our operation small enough to manage it ourselves. People know they can just come by and see what we have in stock.
